MERCON V automatic transmission fluid and Motorcraft Synthetic Blend power steering fluids are formulated with a high viscosity index, high quality synthetic/hydrogen treated base oils and specially formulated performance additives. It is specially formulated to provide improved conversion properties at high and low ambient temperatures, excellent resistance to heat and oxidation, and good fluidity at low temperatures. Provides corrosion protection and prevents the formation of gum, sludge, varnish and foam. It also provides protection against rust and corrosion

It is particularly effective in applications where high temperatures are a concern. Due to its excellent thermal, oxidative and shear stability, this fluid is in demand in manual transmission applications such as the Mustang with G1 manual transmission, F/E Series with TR 3650 manual transmission and ZF S5-47

Designed for power steering systems to provide excellent low-temperature fluidity as well as improved high-temperature thermal stability for use in harsh conditions in all seasons.

Do not use on applications where MERCON® LV, MERCON® SP, Continuously Variable transmission fluid, Premium Motorcraft® automatic transmission fluid, FNR5 automatic transmission fluid, or F-Type automatic transmission fluid are recommended.
